AvailableAfter the end of the bloody civil war, a Spanish family lives in retreat in the countryside. When a travelling cinema truck comes to their village, two little sisters are profoundly affected by viewing the old film Frankenstein. The younger girl becomes so obsessed with its images and story that she tries to recreate it in reality. The hypnotic mood of the driven child pervades the film itself, building a sense of dread not unlike that of a horror film, but based in the poetry of a child's imagination.
