"The extraordinary architecture of Antoni Gaudi has defied definition by historians and critics since its appearance. Described as neo-gothic, art-nouveau, organic, neo-Catalan, etc., the great visionary realizations of Gaudi cannot really be enclosed in the straightjacket of definition and appear the products of a totally fantastic imagination working almost in a void of tradition.
