Eva is to be married to the Baron Franzl in order to save her family's vineyard. Her young brother Loisl gets Eva's friend Mariele involved, who answers a marriage ad placed by Gustav Mummelmann. Both Mummelmann and Mariele have lied about themselves, and Mummelmann even sent a photo of his much younger and more attractive nephew Peter.
