WARUM LAUFT HERR R. AMOK? Mr. R is an average man with an average wife and an average child. His house, his neighbors and his job are all ordinary. Viewed from the outside, Mr. Raab seems like a responsible husband and father, a helpful neighbor, and a motivated employee. Yet behind its well-ordered facade, the life of Mr. Raab is dismal. The daily humiliations he suffers and his pent-up aggression transform into a hatred that surfaces one day in the brutal murder of his wife, child, and neighbor. The next day Mr. Raab commits suicide at his office. Everyone is at a loss to explain his motivations. DIE PRINZESSIN VON ST. WOLFGANG. Princess Josepha-Maria, Josie for short, returns to her native village St. Wolfgang and runs into the auto mechanic Tony, whom she knew as a child. They fall in love. Josie's aunt Isabel does all she can to break them up because she wants Josie to marry the rich prince Georg Alexander. In the end, the shrewd horse trader Loderer makes sure the right couple can be together. PRINZESSIN represents an attempt by the director and producer to cash in on the success of their earlier film DIE FISCHERIN VOM BODENSEE. Ultimately, however, PRINZESSIN did not achieve the success of its predecessor. Notes: Taped from TV There are commercials approx. 42 minutes and 1 hour 12 minutes into AMOK. Be aware that the second batch of commercials includes one for a "Flirtline" that contains a fair amount of female nudity.. Director: Harald Reinl / R.W. Fassbinder. Color. Country: Germany.
