"Immanuel Rath, an old bachelor, is a stuffy teacher at the town`s high school. When he discovers that some of his pupils have been frequenting a disreputable club, The Blue Angel, to visit the dancer Lola Lola, he goes there to catch them in the act. Rath is the one caught, however, by the allure of Lola and soon he throws away his career and reputation in the community in order to be with her.
