"The Immigrant": Charlie and Edna are immigrants to the land of Liberty. Social satire is tempered by anunforgettable pas-de-deux between Charlie and Eric Campbell as a bullying waiter. "Easy Street": In the most famous of the Mutuals, urban violence, spousal abuse, drug addiction and slum poverty become unlikely ingredients for brilliant humour when Charlie becomes a policeman in the city`s toughest neighbourhood.
